What do we know about William Shakespeare?

1. Shakespeare was born in 1564. He died in 1616.

4. He left school at the age of 16. 
5. Shakespeare later became an actor in a London theatre
6. He soon began writing plays to perform in.
7. In 1582, Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway
8. They had eight children, including the twins: Judith & Hamnet
9. Shakespeare wrote (or helped write) at least 38 plays.
10. In his will, Shakespeare left his wife the ‘second-best bed’.
